Our Wedding

On our first day at Samford University, we attended a retreat for the University Fellows program on campus, where our professor joked “Look around – you may meet your future spouse!” We laughed at the time, but the Lord heard and had other plans. In those early months of college, our shared faiths and values made our new friendship easy. Mary Claire asked Ian to her sorority formal on the silent floor of the library, and since then our relationship quickly became the biggest blessing of our college years. One year later, we celebrated our first dating anniversary over pasta at Gianmarco’s Italian Restaurant, and two years after that, Ian got down on one knee outside of the very same restaurant. Thank you all for the wisdom, prayers, and support you’ve provided throughout our season of dating. We cannot wait to celebrate with you as we walk into marriage!
